Textile Data Analysis Project | A Case Study

Data Analytics into Textile Innovation

A statistical analysis of global textile data to enhance product quality and drive sustainability.

Project Completion: June 2022

Project Overview

Our mission was to leverage data science to revolutionize textile design, focusing on sustainability and performance.

Sustainable Development

Performed statistical analysis on textile tests from worldwide suppliers to validate and support sustainable material choices for new product lines.

3D Modeling & Lab Data

Integrated 3D material models with physical lab data to create a robust digital twin, predicting real-world performance with high accuracy.

Quality & Consistency

Utilized data insights to enhance textile quality, reduce design variability, and decrease the number of physical prototypes by over 40%.

Our Approach

1. Global Data Aggregation

Collected and cleaned textile test data from partners across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, focusing on fiber strength, color fastness, and environmental impact scores.

2. Statistical Analysis

Applied regression analysis and ANOVA to identify key performance indicators and correlations between material properties and manufacturing processes.

3. 3D Model Correlation

Used the statistical findings to calibrate our 3D textile simulation software, ensuring digital designs accurately reflected physical properties.

4. Actionable Insights

Generated dashboards and reports that empowered designers to select optimal materials, reducing variability and promoting sustainable choices.
